The reference location is the market zone that the Contract's 'Primary Location' sits within.
The reference location is used for two purposes:
1. Reporting e.g. filtering and viewing open Contracts by market zone; and
2. Mark-to-market reporting.
A list of market zones can be found in the attachment on this article.
* The Primary Location is the delivery location that the commodity is to be delivered on the Contract.
