Navigation tree: Transactions > Prices

You can specify a Start and End date for cash prices to automatically activate and deactivate when creating those cash prices individually via Transactions -> Prices -> 'New Price'.

Cash price auto-activation

Cash prices created with a 'Start date' in the future will be created as 'Scheduled' status until the activation time is reached.

Cash prices will automatically activate at midnight on the morning of the 'Start date' specified. At this time the status of the cash price will change from 'Scheduled' to 'Active'.

Cash price auto-deactivation

Cash prices will automatically de-activate at midnight on the night of the 'End date' specified. At this time the status of the cash price will change from 'Active' to 'Inactive'.

Which timezone are the Start and End Dates in?

The timezone of the start and end dates depends on whether the cash price was created one at a time via Transactions -> Prices -> 'New price', or created in bulk using the bulk uploader.

Cash prices created one at a time

The start and end dates will be relative to your computer's timezone when you created the cash price.

For example, if you are a user in Adelaide whose computer timezone is set to Adelaide and you create a cash price at a site in Coonamble, NSW with a start date of 2/02/18 and an end date of 2/02/18, the cash price will activate at 00:00:00 on 2/02/18 (in Adelaide time) and deactivate at 2/02/18 (in Adelaide time) meaning it is active for a total period of 24 hours. The activation and deactivation times are irrespective of the timezone of the Site (Coonamble, NSW in this example) at which the cash price has been posted.

Similarly, if you are a user in Perth whose computer timezone is set to Perth and you create a cash price at a site in Dubbo, NSW with a start date of 3/04/18 and an end date of 4/04/18, the cash price will activate at 00:00:00 on 3/04/18 (in Perth time) and deactivate at 23:59:59 (in Perth time) meaning it is active for a total period of 48 hours. The activation and deactivation times will be irrespective of the timezone of the Site (Dubbo, NSW in this example) at which the cash price has been posted.

Bulk uploaded cash prices

The start and end dates will be relative to Australian Eastern Time (AET).

For example, regardless of where you are located in the world, if you create a cash price with a start date of 2/02/18 and an end date of 2/02/18, the cash price will activate at 00:00:00 on 2/02/18 (in Australian Eastern Time) and deactivate at 2/02/18 (in Australian Eastern Time) meaning it is active for a total period of 24 hours. The activation and deactivation times are irrespective of the timezone of the Site (Coonamble, NSW in this example) at which the cash price has been posted.

Similarly, regardless of where you are located in the world, if you create a cash price at a site in Dubbo, NSW with a start date of 3/04/18 and an end date of 4/04/18, the cash price will activate at 00:00:00 on 3/04/18 (in Australian Eastern Time) and deactivate at 23:59:59 (in Australian Eastern Time) meaning it is active for a total period of 48 hours. The activation and deactivation times will be irrespective of the timezone of the Site (Dubbo, NSW in this example) at which the cash price has been posted.

Other notes

If 'Start date' matches today's date, the cash price will be active immediately once it is created.
