The ‘Estimated delivery date’ fields on the Order form allow users to provide specific dates for your Origin and Destination Deliveries.

These dates will also have a positive impact on counterparty visibility of Deliveries and Invoicing.

Transaction Deliveries

The only impact of this enhancement in Transaction Deliveries is that dates will be pre-populated in the following way:

For Origin Deliveries, if the 'Origin estimated delivery date' field is available at the point of creation, this will populate the origin delivery date; if this field is NOT available at the point of creation, origin delivery date will be populated with the later of either the Contract start date, or the Order start date.

For Destination Deliveries, if the ‘Destination estimated delivery date' field is available at the point of creation, this will populate the destination delivery date; if this field is NOT available at the point of creation, destination delivery date will be populated with the later of either the Contract start date, or the Order end date.

Importantly, although Origin and Destination dates will be pre-populated in the Transactions > Delivery form, these fields will be open in case you wish to select another date within the range.

Storage Deliveries

Out-turn or receival Storage deliveries won't be affected by this new fields; when you create a Storage Delivery, the date will be the creation date.

When creating an Out-turn/Receival (Order) Storage Delivery, AgriDigital generates a twin Transaction delivery that debits the Contract quantity; also, this Transaction delivery will be the one visible to the counterparty.

Twin delivery dates and counterparty visibility have the following revised logic:

For Origin Deliveries, the twin (Transaction) delivery date will be the date entered in ‘Origin estimated delivery date' field; if this field is not populated, the date will be the later of either the Contract start date or the Order start date. This new date will also determine when the delivery will be available for the counterparty.

For Destination Deliveries, the twin (Transaction) delivery date will be the date entered in ‘Destination estimated delivery date' field; if this field is not populated, the date will be the later of either the Contract start date or the Order end date. This new date will determine when the delivery will be available for the counterparty.
