Orders direct the movement of commodities between an origin and destination location.
Orders achieve this by linking a pair of contracts and/or inventory positions, effectively forming a logistics directive to move the physical grain.
Orders contain the following information:
The commodity and grade information
Start and end dates
Quantity & acceptable tolerance
Origin and destination information
Freight provider and associated information
Orders have 4 different Origin and Destination type combinations
Contract to Contract: Here, the origin is a purchase contract and the destination is a sale contract.
Example: An Ex-Farm purchase contract that is being freighted directly into a Delivered location against a sale contract.
Contract to Inventory: This is where the origin is a purchase contract and the destination is into your inventory.
Example: An Ex-Farm purchase contract that is being freighted directly into a storage providers (BHC) site where it will be delivered directly into your inventory.
Inventory to Contract: This is where the origin is existing inventory and the destination is a sale contract.
Example: Allocating inventory that is available within a storage providers (BHC*) site as the origin, for an outturn onto a Free on Truck (FOT) sale contract as the destination.
Inventory to Inventory: This is where the origin is existing inventory and the destination is into inventory at a different location.
Example: Allocating inventory that is available within a storage providers (BHC*) site as the origin, to another inventory position at a different site as the destination. Effectively a site to site movement.
Inventory to Reference: This order type allows storage providers to offer out-turn request orders to buyers who own inventory at their site but do not subscribe to AgriDigital.
Example: A buyer created out-turn from a storage provider.
Reference to Purchase Contract: This order type allows buyers to instigate their 'buyer call' rights and request deliveries from a storage provider who is not subscribed to AgriDigital. In this scenario, the buyer will know who the supplier is but not the origin location
Example: A delivered purchase contract involving a non-subscribing supplier that will be delivered directly onto a buyer's inventory at a chosen site.
*BHC: Bulk Handling Company also known as Storage Providers
