Why can I not see an available quantity on a Contract > Contract Order
Why can I not see an available quantity on a Contract > Contract Order
Updated over a week ago

Scenario:

A user navigates to the Orders feature within the transactions module and begins to create a (Purchase) Contract to (Sale) Contract Order. In the weights & quality section of the form, the available quantity is locked and blank.

Why:

This situation will occur when the inspection locations are the same AND the grades differ on the two Contracts. The system is preventing this scenario to avoid a clash where there are two different grades resulting from a single inspection.

Solutions:

A) Update the contract inspection:

  1. Navigate to the Contracts feature within the Transaction module and select one of the two relevant Contracts from the list screen. By selecting "edit" a user will be brought to the Contract edit screen where the inspection location can be changed.

    There are two criteria that must be met in order to edit the inspection location:

    1. The user must be the creator of the Contract;

    2. The Contract must have an "awaiting deliveries" status.

B) Update the grades of the Contract:

  1. Navigate to the Contracts feature within the Transaction module and select one of the two relevant Contracts from the list screen. By selecting "edit" a user will be brought to the Contract edit screen where the Contract's grade can be changed. The grades on each Contract must match if the inspection points (Origin vs Destination) are the same on the two relevant Contracts.

    There are two criteria that must be met in order to edit the grades:

    1. The user must be the creator of the Contract;

    2. The Contract must have an "awaiting deliveries" status.

B) Choose a different Contract combination:

  1. Select a different Sale / Purchase Contract on the Order form that will result in both Contracts sharing the same grade or differing inspection points;

  2. Create a new Sale / Purchase Contract that that will result in both Contracts sharing the same grade or differing inspection points.
