After creating a Contract, you may realise that some details are incorrect or missing.
To amend this, please follow these steps.
What is the status of your contract?
Only 'In progress', 'Awaiting deliveries' Contracts can be edited.
'Completed' or 'Cancelled' Contracts cannot be updated.
To update an 'Unfulfilled' Contract, you need to change the status from 'Unfulfilled' to 'In Progress' by extending the Delivery End Date to today or a future date.
Are you still connected to the counterparty?
To be able to edit a Contract, you need to be still connected to the counterparty on your Contract.
For Purchase Contracts with Growers: check that this NGR number is still registered in your MyNGR Portal.
For Sale or Purchase Contracts with Buyers, navigate to Connections > Organisations to check that your are still connected to your organisation.
Edit Contract
1. Navigate to the Contracts list screen and click on the relevant 'in progress', 'Awaiting Deliveries', or 'Unfulfilled' Contract that you wish to edit.
💡Note: only the creator of a Contract can edit that Contract.
2. You then need to select the options drop down in the top right corner and select 'edit Contract'.
Here you will be able to add in the information that you wish to change/update.
What cannot be edited?
You are unable to edit a Contract counterparty between a Grower and a Buyer/Trader account (or vice versa).
If this scenario has occurred, you will need to:
- reverse any associated Deliveries,
- cancel the Contract
- create a new Contract.
We suggest referencing the cancelled Contract number in the comment section of the new Contract, so the counterparty is aware of the change.
💡Note: Editing a spread on an 'in progress' Contract will require all Invoices
to be cancelled and Deliveries to be reversed, in order to make this change and
the correct calculations to take effect.
