All grower details that we store on AgriDigital come directly from NGR - the National Grower Register.

NGR holds the ABN Entity Name and the Business Name as indicated with the Australian Business Register (https://abr.business.gov.au/).

Before the last NGR upgrade, Growers were able to enter a Trading name as they wanted (free text field). Due to a change of rule by ASIC, NGR will no longer hold the Trading Name. (Business names, trading names and legal names | business.gov.au).

This is the reason why, from the 28th of February, most records now have the same value on Trading Name vs Entity Name in AgriDigital.

If Growers wish to continue using a Trading name, it needs to be registered as a Business name on ABN.

Then, they can log into myNGR and update their Business Name.
